smiling for others

I have to write this out now because I never want to forget how sweet it was. Tonight as I was putting Violet to bed the conversation went something like this...
"mommy when somebody is sad I can smile at them and then they can smile too". To which I looked at her and she gave me a big smile :)
I said "oh, you mean you will make them feel better by smiling at them?"
She then said "yeah" :)
I asked her "wow, Violet, who told you that?" Thinking she heard that at church or from an adult somewhere.
She said "Anybody (I love how she uses that word), I just made it up!"

Wow!! I'm SO proud of her sweet little caring heart thinking of others. It might not seem like much, but seriously, I feel so blessed when she comes up with things like this all on her own. I know that's not my doing at all, but God, giving her a happy and selfless heart. Most days it seems the opposite- so self driven, which is natural at age 3 of course, but when she says those things and figures it out on her own I know we are going in the right direction and I am thankful. Very happy and thankful for 2 sweet kids.

xoxoxo little Violet :)

It's all that wonderful nurturing that's coming from home....opens up that little mind and heart to put all those wonderful thoughts together...straight from above! Kudos to Daddy and Mommy!!

Thanks for sharing such a precious moment!
