Iced In

The ice started falling last night (the tapping on our bedroom windows sent Jack into a tizzy completely ruining his slumber, but the rest of us slept just fine) so today we had a fun family day at home! I always love the (semi-)unexpected snow day! It seems I can usually get a few extra things done around the house with Daddy home... so nice. Today I planned out most of Violet's birthday room makeover and ordered a few things (can't wait!! and will post that once it's done).

Daddy thought this was a great idea... Mommy, not so much. My knee caps (which are very prone to sliding out of socket) were hurting the entire time I was watching them. Thankfully it only lasted a few minutes and then the chilling wind sent them inside!

And here's the sweetest story ever. We were sitting eating dinner and listening/dancing to Violet's new favorite song Beautiful Day when she looked up at me and said "Mommy will you marry me"! Oh how my heart melted :) In my opinion, coming from an almost 3 year old this is probably the ultimate mommy compliment! How cute of her! We then explained about being married and how one day she will meet a special boy who she will marry, etc, etc, but anyway, what a super sweetheart. I love my little cakey :)
