Nana

Goodness has it really been 22 days since I last blogged?....
It feels like a lot has gone on in the last few weeks. I guess it has and I haven't had much time or emotional energy to blog, so here I go to try and catch up...
First, my parents came up to visit us and we had a great time! We went to the pumpkin patch and the state fair and enjoyed their company. Then a few days after they got back home they realized that my sweet Nana's weakened health was declining. She had to be taken to the hospital and when Carter and I realized how serious things were becoming we decided to pack up and make the trip down to Harlingen. We drove all day Friday and the next morning she greeted Jesus, her husband, two daughters, mother, father and brother at 6:54am. I'm convinced they were all at her mansion waiting for her with her brightly jeweled crown. I can say for certain hers is highly decorated! What a lifetime of inspiration she has given to me- she had mastered the fruits of the spirit and was so graceful and gracious. She was a prayer warrior and always reminded us that we should put on the armor of God to stand strong. Always smiling and always positive. I will miss her so much, but I will cherish my sweet memories.
