Happy Memorial Day weekend! We are doing good here and have been enjoying hanging out as a family. Today we noticed this hawk hanging around in our backyard and creek area that is just behind our yard. Although you might not think it, he is a very welcome visitor. Last week our neighbors killed a copperhead in their yard. He's on guard and we like it! (update: we think he could be a red-shouldered hawk)
In other bird news... I finished the birdbath that I had been working on kinda off and on for a while! It feels so great to finish a project... not something I do a lot of these days. Maybe this is what attracted our hawk friend to come over today?!.. who knows, there is a little owl in the center of it :)
