My baby is THREE today!!
We ended up having an UN-carousel carousel party this past Saturday at the Stonebriar Mall. What is an UN-carousel carousel party you might ask? It's a birthday party that one might plan to be at a carousel and then as you are setting up decorations at said carousel 20 minutes beforehand the mall personnel comes to tell you that they won't be running the carousel that day. Yes, this is what happened to us on Saturday. Bees in the carousel ruined our rides. I won't go any further than that...
So....oh well, as that picture above shows we had just rode that most amazing carousel two weeks before at Disney World (post on that up next!). So, really, who needs another one after that?!! :)
So we had a great time anyway with our sweet and understanding friends this past Saturday at the mall! The kids ran around an empty mall, colored UmiZoomi coloring sheets, played with the chairs!, and ate snacks and cake! It was super fun and I loved celebrating my boy with his friends!!
The party was set up and ready to go!!
And the kids did a great job of looking at the carousel :)
The birthday boy having his fill of muffins!!
Weston's friends having fun coloring at the table!
When I see this I just can't help but think... What a lovely and festive backdrop ;)
And everyone having fun together!
Weston did a great job blowing out his candle!!
And he devoured his cupcake! (He hasn't been having much sugar lately so he was loving all the extra special sweet treats!)
So many sweet friends that we love!!
And a couple of silly faces!!
Turns out an empty mall is pretty darn fun!
Except when Mom decides to try and pick you up for a picture...
He and Jackson loved running circles around the closed food court! I love the way these kids can turn lemons into lemonade!!
And when we got back home Weston worked really hard at tearing into all of his fun gifts! Turns out it was a great party after all :)
This boy is so loving and affectionate. He is so bright and smart and knows so much even though he might stay quiet sometimes. He loves to run and play, but he also loves to sit and color or play with his trains. He really LOVES being with his family and particularly his daddy!! He thinks anything his sister does is the coolest. He loves to tickle people. He loves to laugh and his is pretty contagious. He continues to amaze me with his patience and sweet heart. I am thankful beyond words that I get to be his mommy! It's the best job in the whole world!!!
Happy Birthday Weston!!
