Christmas happenings 2012

I know I'm delayed, but hey better late than never. I was suffering from lazy-blogger-itis after Christmas and then my computer was in and out and in and out of the shop, but it's finally better and so am I :)

We had SO MUCH FUN this Christmas enjoying all the lights, the music, our house and the decorations in it and just being with each other!! That is after getting well. After Violet's tummy bug landed her in the hospital we were well and so happy to have a Christmas visit by Nonny and Pops! Then the next week we were down with it AGAIN.... (ugh, sigh, UGH!!!). This time it started with Weston. Poor baby. Then the next day Carter and Violet at almost the same time... the poor girl couldn't catch a break!! But, luckily, this one only lasted for 24 hours. I didn't really get it, I kinda did, but not really. So that left me running LOADS and LOADS of laundry and carting ginger ale and saltines around the house!

And after all the sick got outta the house we DID enjoy the holiday! I promise :) Here are a few (okay a ton) of pictures from December that I want to ALWAYS remember!!

Weston participating in his first Christmas performance :) He was SO CUTE!!! They "sang" a song called "The Real Christmas Story"

This is Violet's third Christmas show (her first year they didn't have the little ones in it) and she got to sing "Peace On Earth" and also "The Real Christmas Story". She had been out the entire week prior so she just winged it and did great :)

Having fun one night in front of the musical Christmas tree in Allen :)

We were SO HAPPY to be able to celebrate Nonny's birthday while they came up to visit! We ate at Sauce on the square and came home for cake!!

Violet was more than happy to help blow out candles! They make such a cute pair! We love you Nonny :)

And here's Pops with all his fans!!

School Christmas parties were so much fun! Here is Violet's class after their Christmas party and pin the nose on Frosty :)

Violet's sweet teachers Ms Trina and Ms Wendy! She loves them so much!

Here was my baby during his bout with the tummy bug :(

But we tried to remain JOLLY!!

Some cookie fun with my sweetie... actually, this was the night she got sick so we ended up throwing those cookies out.

Weston's school artwork! Just the sweetest thing!

At the Christmas Eve church service. The kids liked being in the big church with everyone and were pretty good to sit through it... other than during the candle lighting when Violet almost singed off her hair!

We let the kids open stocking presents on Christmas Eve :)
Chocolate, some DVDs, hot wheels, Daddy-Daughter Dance tickets!!

And we put out our milk and cookies for Santa, reindeer food outside
and TO BED for the kids!!

Christmas morning they found that Santa had put their presents from him upstairs at the stockings by their doors... and they weren't allowed to come down until Mom and Dad were ready for them :)
So they occupied themselves with their Santa gifts...

Then we gave them the go-ahead to come down and they found their Jeep and the wrapped presents!! We had such a FUN morning just watching the two of them so excited!!

Violet made a mug for her daddy!!

She made this wonderful Christmas plate for me :)

Santa did enjoy his milk and cookies!!  He's so messy :)

And then to make Christmas day complete Grandma and Grandpa came over for a yummy lunch AND we got SNOW!!!!

They stayed outside for about 5 minutes! After that it was cold and no fun....
The rest of our break consisted of lots of fun family time with Daddy off of work!! It was so relaxing and nice!
Carter and I watched lots of Downton Abbey and Pride and Prejudice. Poor guy, he puts up with it! But, he really does like Downton Abbey... if you haven't watched it you should!!

Dinner out at Grimaldi's YUMM and FUN with the camera.

Weston was so hungry... it's hard to wait when you're 2. But his profile is so photographable!! I love it :)

While Carter had a few days off of work we played a little! We took a trip to the Gaylord Ice .... amazing, but burrrrrrrrr..... it was COLD....

My sweet Nutcracker loving gal!

And we found a soldier on stilts!!

Violet wanted to try ice skating so we went down to the Galleria. She ended up loving it and not wanting to leave! Her daddy did it with her and turns out he's not so bad on the skates either. I was completely impressed!

cuties!!

This little guy hung out with me on all the pay to ride toys. He had just as much fun :)

What a wonderful Christmas! How thankful we are!!
