highlights

This has been a great week! Violet continues to learn new things and amaze me on a daily basis :) I took the picture above at the park this week. Here are some of the highlights I caught as I spent this week with my sweet girl.

*I overheard her counting from 1-10 as she fell asleep for her nap! She has mastered those numbers and loves, loves, loves counting!
*We had some park fun (before it got so cold and messy). Big accomplishments in climbing up a rock wall, braving the descent down the swirly slide (a few times mommy & jack went down it with her... it was quite a sight). Her confidence at the park has grown by leaps and bounds since last summer.
*I witnessed her playing Ring Around the Rosies with her friends Stormy and Annie. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! And they "all fell down"!
*Running around like a big girl and holding hands with her friends. Life is great!
*She has been walking straight into Mother's Day Out without crying. Lately, we hug and kiss a few feet away from the classroom and then she is okay with going in! When I pick her up now she no longer cries when she sees me... she smiles and says "Mommy!" and runs to me. I LOVE THAT! :)
*We have been holding hands with Violet when we pray since I can remember, but she has gotten great at closing her eyes through a prayer now. She says her own prayers before bed (repeating after us) and it's the sweetest thing.
*She has started putting more words together, my favorites are "I love you" and "Daddy's home"

We are having fun and everyday I am so glad that I get to be her mommy!!
