A lil catch up for you

This always happens... I get going with a post and have so many pictures I want to add that it gets out of control :) Oh, but a picture is worth a thousand words right? And since I'm not the best at putting words on paper I love adding pictures. Here are some of my more recent phone pictures...

Here is my sweet Mother's Day breakfast in bed!!

And speaking of blessing... yall know how I love nature (lol) bc that post was up for close to 2 months (btw- those eggs didn't make it :'(... some nasty varmit must have gotten them) well, apparently, NATURE LOVES ME too :) A sweet little mommy bird has laid eggs in a planter on my new front porch!!! I discovered these on Mother's Day as I was watering the plants and almost for a split second thought it was some sort of fake nest and eggs put there by my husband to make me smile, but it's not they are real and amazing! There are 6 tiny eggs now and she's been faithfully sitting on them. Can't wait to see if these hatch! WHEN these hatch. And I will be taking pictures, just wait! lol

Violet and Weston decided to give gymnastics a try for the summer and this was their first class last week. It's great bc their classes are at the same time and I can help him out while she goes with her group. I wanted to get Weston in a physically challenging activity bc he tents to shy away from a challenge sometimes and I knew Violet would love it. She did and he whined! Every new thing that was hard for him wasn't greeted with excitement... but more of "oh great now what" kind of attitude. Even the trampoline :( BUT this week he did a little better and I'm hoping this will be a good thing for him once he warms up to the idea... and me, geez, I'm basically chasing after him, but it's fun, mostly :)

We have also had some fun in the backyard with our own little pool and sprinkler!! YEY for sun and Vitamin D... and crazy messed up hair!

And this nightgown... it was MY favorite nightgown to wear when I was her age. I think I wore it almost every night until it didn't fit anymore and amazingly enough it's in perfect condition!! Great job with the laundry Nonny! It's so fun watching V wear it now.

We took a trip down to our community pool with baby Miles and he brought along his 'rents. Look at his stylin shades! That boy has it going on :) It was super fun!! These two boys will be great buds when they're older :) his mommy and I will make certain of that! **Not so fun tidbit about Weston lately is that he loves to hurt himself... okay, he cries usually so he doesn't really love it, but I'm so serious when I say that it's been WAY TOO MUCH lately. We have had everything from a broken front tooth with an emergency filling at the pedi dentist, to swallowing a dumdum lollipop stick and everything in between :( Notice the scab between his eyes... that's from rubbing his face on the carpet and getting a carpet burn that turned into a scab :( and that's the second one there. The first one I can't remember how he got it... I'm asking for extra prayers and angels to be around him from now until FOREVER!!! If you think of it please include him!!

Back at gymnastics this week. He actually sat on the rope swing! No swinging just trying it out, but that's pretty huge!

Oh and here's my latest project... my great-grandmother's trunk!! It was in my grandmother's attic since at least the 80's full of great grandmother's things. We brought it home and I've decided it will make an awesome coffee table after it's all said and done. I have before pics where you can see the old dirty burlap-looking fabric that was covering the wood. I'll post those befores when it's done.

And sweet V had her last day of preschool on Tuesday. Gosh, only one more year of preschool! I am SO NOT PREPARED for this growing up business. In fact, I think I hate it. But, here she is with her wonderful teachers!! She loved them so and will be missing them this summer.

And a little chalk artwork by V. She is so good at spelling her name and it just so happens that if you leave out the "i" and the "t" you've got love :) LOVE IT uses all her letters.... and i do LOVE IT!! Nothing sweeter.

...Except maybe after dinner oreos and whipping cream!!!
