Christmas 2011

It was a very Merry Christmas for our family! This post is a bit delayed because sorting through 541 photos takes some time! We had lots of presents, fun, food, more presents, and awesome family time. It was so great! We couldn't be more thankful to our God above for his many gifts to us, but most especially our Savior Christ the Lord!

It began with present opening here in McKinney with just our family of 4. We made our annual treck down the core of Texas stopping in Waxahachie for a Truly Christmas, then a quick stop in Waco to visit Carter's sister Patricia and her kids, and finally the long haul to Harlingen where we stayed for a week. I've got lots of pictures to show you (I did trim it down quite a bit :) Enjoy!!

Seriously nothing better to this girl at the moment than something with a princess on it! She loved the sleeping bag from Aunt Patti and Uncle Dan!

And the Mighty Math Kit they keep advertising on Nick Jr was a hit too. It's actually really great!

My parents hosted 27 adult members of our family and extended family on Christmas Eve and it was so great!

Caught these two by the dessert bar all night long! Don't blame them a bit though because Auntie B knows how to whip up some wonderful classics!! Those Christmas cookies can't be beat.

Santa left some more little goodies and the kids opened a few presents before lunch with my grandmother Mamaw.

And then we had LOTS of outdoor playtime. The weather couldn't have been nicer and so I enjoyed snapping pictures of my kids and nephews.

I love that profile and hair, but I'm biased... I'm her mommy :)

This kid is good. It's in his genes. It was the 10 yr old v. the 34 yr old. Someone was sore the next day... I'm not going to say who, but you might have a guess :)

Love this shot... height was the one key advantage that Uncle Carter had :) That shot went in too- way to go baby!

This kid is good too! Check out that thing he is skating on. It's got 2 wheels and bends in the middle. You should have seen us adults try to get on it! I should have taken video cause it was hilarious and pathetic!

And Violet was so cute scooting up and down on her new scooter. She has so much fun with the big boys!
