Christmas festivities!

We are loving the Christmas festivities and all the activity that this month brings. It's a busy time of year no doubt, but it sure is fun! Here are a few things we have been up to lately...

I try to decorate a gingerbread house with Violet every year and we had a blast doing this one! This one had genius little holes where the walls fit down into the base... genius!! I think last year I was propping them up from the inside.. We had fun and Violet enjoyed sampling the candy... ok, I did too :)

And here is the man of the house :) I love that Violet just stuck him onto the back!! Cracks me up when I look at it while washing the dishes :)

On Saturday we had a mommy-daughter date to see the Dallas Repertoire Ballet's The Nutcracker. That is the school where Violet takes dance, so we were able to see a few of the big girls who help teach her class. It was so much fun for both of us :)

Last, but not least, we went to see Santa today :) They both did great! Violet wasn't nervous at all, but once we got up to the front of the line she looked at me nervously and asked if I would go with her. Of course I did and when Santa called her by name she hopped up in his lap! Weston wasn't too sure and kept looking over at him curiously, but he did great. Santa was so nice and chatty, easing Violet's nerves, making certain he knew what they both would like for Christmas. Violet said she wants a talking Jessie doll and said that Weston wants a car. Santa had done his homework- he knew all about Toy Story and Cars :) She said she wants to go back and talk to him again (...to possibly change her wish to a Rapunzel doll! Let's hope she doesn't make Santa scramble around at the last minute!!) The big guy was a hit!

Merry Christmas!!
