I had seen this painting project idea on pintrest not too long ago and knew I wanted to try it out with Violet. This Saturday we broke out a new canvas, painters tape and acrylic paints and set to work. These days Violet is all over anything called a "project" and when we go into Michael's she is attracted to, well, everything, so it's safe to say she's got some of her mommy in her! Here she is hard at work...
I let her pick which colors to use and placement
She even got to use mommy's big brushes :)
She was so engaged in this... for a long time! I totally recommend this project to anyone and everyone :)
We both had lots of fun!
We let it dry like this overnight and then pulled the tape off the next day :)
Ta-da!

wow! That is totally awesome! I love the way she is careful in the first pic not to drag her elbow through the blue that is already on the canvas! Beautiful masterpiece....may try with Lukie at some point when I am feeling really, really, really brave!
