Update, Mega-Post!

Oh am I EVER behind in blogging! Life with two is busy and wow, I didn't realize how much I hadn't blogged until I got about halfway through this post and it occurred to me that I should have broken it up into about 5 different posts! But oh well, c'est la vie... get out your popcorn folks... this is a looong one :) I began tackling this monster this afternoon while both babies were down for their naps (at the same time- yey!) and am just finishing it now that they are both in bed. From daddy's week off to 4th of July family fun to Weston turning 2 months old TODAY!!! to random cute shots of my 2 little sweethearts here and there. It's a lot... and that proves to me that this wonderful, busy life is so full of goodness, and I am thankful! Hope you enjoy this catch-up!

Carter took some time off work at the end of June to have some summertime fun with the family. One day we went to the splash park in Allen and had a great time. Problem is Violet doesn't enjoy water splashing her! lol... So, luckily they have a giant playground that she loved. She and her daddy played while Weston and I hung out and watched :)

We took a artsy family trip to the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center. Both places I plan to frequent often with these two.

Eating a special dessert oreo and playing with our computer's photo booth

We took a spur of the moment family trip down to Austin for one night to have a "sofa session" with my sweet friends Kellie and Traci who own the phenomenal Anne Marie Photography. Photos to come. It was a great time and I was so happy with the way all of our babies did in the car...

Ahh, sweet sleep! :)

Weston and his beloved pacifier :)

Weston and his special silver rattle from his great grandmother, Nana

Of course, we had to get out Violet's rattle and play with both of them :)

Often times I find big sister checking out Weston's toys (her old baby toys). They are making a comeback!

We were so happy to have family come up from Harlingen for the 4th of July! Here is Nonny holding BOTH Luke and Violet before bedtime. Go Nonny!!

Grant and Chris

Pretty Nonny and her favorite toy :)

Here is Pops, making it all run :) Isn't he cute?!

Cutie Luke

Auntie Jenn and Violet

Grant checking out the baby swing!

First grandson, last grandson... what a pair!

Cutie Will and Weston

Sweet Luke checking out the girl toys... and you know he can't put that earring on himself, so we won't tell them, Nonny, who put that on him!! :)

I had to post this one because Jack actually warmed up to my Dad! It's a near miracle! :)

Pops and Nonny make for a good set of grandparents!

Our family photo for the 4th

Auntie and a very serious Weston

Violet being her usual silly self put her stroller into Weston's crib... not going very far, but very fun!

With my purty Mommy :) We headed down to McKinney's Red, White and Boom celebration for the second year in a row. Way to go McKinney- we love living in such a great city :) #5 out of 100 in Best City to Live in the US!

Lemonade '10. This drink is a must on a hot 4th of July celebration!

...this is Lemonade '09 at last years celebration. Can you believe how much she has grown in just one year?!!

Like lemonade, football is also a must! Here is Football '10.

Football '09!

And our lil man was just snoozing away pleasant as could be. Luke was sharing his crackers with Weston- so sweet!

Lowery's are a good lookin' family!

Lights off just before the show, baby still a'sleepin!

Violet's seat of choice... none other than baby brother's car seat!

She LOVED it this year!! Last year we didn't quite make it to the fireworks, so it was a new experience for this girl!

Luke and Violet have the love :)

The next 4 shots are what happens to Violet when she plays peek-a-boo with her Nonny behind the couch :)

Kiddie pool and swinging, these days won't last long and they are so precious :)

And finally here we are today for Weston's 2 MONTH picture!

Our sweet little boy has:
1. proven to remain super sweet
2. is a very patient newborn when waiting for his bottle
3. become more aware and noises have started to bother him more when he's trying to sleep
4. hits his toys under his activity center
5. recognizes all of our voices
6. slept in his own bed overnight at 8 weeks
7. sleeps for a nice, long 5 hour stretch overnight
8. smiles, a-goo's and coo's at us all the time now!

Oh we love you so much Weston. Time is flying by so fast and you have just completely completed our family. We couldn't be happier and more blessed !

TA-DA!!! Update completed!! ;) If you made it this far I'm impressed!!
