it's a soapy obsession

I realized a few days back that I would have to break down and buy Violet the stool I had been eyeing at Target when I turned around and saw her standing on a box of diapers! She was happy as could be to be up at the counter level and playing with the lids to her sippy cups.

After she realized what this stool meant for her, she eagerly stood at the bathroom sink for what seemed to be hours (probably 10 minutes) playing with all of her hair clips and pony tail holders. Oh what fun!!! Better than any toy around!

The rest of the pictures are of her washing her hands like a big girl... all on her own! She is so proud of herself :) It is so sweet to see how such a mindless task means so much to a toddler that has never been able to do anything like this on her own before. What a joy it is to have a sweet girl that brings out the "special" in regular things!

Jody, I cannot believe how big she is!!!! She was so tiny when I met you both.

That stool is awesome. I probably need to get one like that, too. Maybe Santa is listening. :)

She is so cute Jody! And she is growing up! :-) Whenever I needed to cook dinner I would put the step stool in front of the kitchen sink, fill the sink with water and let Jack play with plastic dishes in the water.
